    Grow in favour Body

    Linda’s Message

Hi, everyone. There’s a deep joy in sharing what God has been revealing, especially when reading His word. One of the most fulfilling things is seeing how Jesus is present, even in the Old Testament. Life, for me, is centred around Him. As I read through the book of 1 Samuel, I found a passage that speaks powerfully about how we can grow in favour with God and with others, a theme echoed throughout Scripture.

The Wisdom of Growth in 1 Samuel

Reading 1 Samuel 2:36, it struck me how the young Samuel grew in favour both with the Lord and with people. The verse says, “The child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord and also with men.” This moment reminded me of Jesus, as described in Luke 2:40: “And the child grew and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.” These verses show that we are not only meant to grow physically but also spiritually—in wisdom, maturity, and authority.

Growing in God’s Grace and Influence

Growth isn’t just about ageing. It’s about maturing in wisdom and authority, moving into new realms of influence and responsibility. This kind of development isn’t something we need to strive for by human effort. In fact, God often brings blessings and promotion as we deepen our relationship with Jesus.

1 John 4:17 gives a powerful reminder: “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” As Christians, we are called to grow in alignment with God’s will. This alignment naturally increases our wisdom, influence, and the recognition we receive from others.

Wisdom Beyond Age: Growing in Faith

One of the most amazing truths in Scripture is that wisdom isn’t confined to age. A young person can be wise, just as an older person might lack wisdom if not grounded in God’s teachings. When we seek to grow in God’s grace, wisdom and understanding follow. The pursuit of wisdom involves continuous learning and a heart open to God’s guidance.

Key Aspects of Spiritual Growth: Grow in Favour

To cultivate this kind of growth, here are a few core elements to focus on:

    • Seek God’s Presence Daily: Regular time in prayer and reading His word can deepen our understanding and connection with God.
    • Cultivate Wisdom: True wisdom comes from God. Seek it through study, meditation, and asking God to reveal His truths.
    • Build Relationships in Faith: Growing in recognition from others involves nurturing relationships with kindness, empathy, and integrity.
    • Stay Humble and Patient: Growth in God’s kingdom often requires humility. Trust in His timing and be patient.

Grace is a Natural Outcome of Pursuing God

Sometimes, we can fall into the trap of wanting to please others or gain their approval, but God assures us that as we seek Him, His blessings will follow. These rewards don’t need to be forced; they naturally flow from a life focused on pursuing Jesus and walking in His ways.

    Final Encouragement

The beauty of God’s design is that each of us, regardless of age, has the potential to grow spiritually and gain the respect of others. Wisdom, favour, and growth are available to anyone who seeks the Lord wholeheartedly. Remember, this journey of growth isn’t about seeking praise or approval from people; it’s about drawing closer to Jesus. As we do, we’ll see God’s grace unfold in our lives in remarkable ways.

May you find joy and peace as you seek to Grow in Favour and grow in wisdom, grace, and love, both with God and those around you. God bless you as you continue to walk in His grace.
